A two-day workshop with a follow-up session for people who want to know how to accelerate implementation of major changes - and build commitment to those changes. (A one-day version is also available. We'll work with you to adapt the course to a single day if you like.)
Outcomes
- Assess your own skills in managing change. You'll be able to answer these questions: How proficient am I at using each of the critical change management skills? What do I need to work on in order to be most effective?
- Recognize how to get back on track if problems occur.
- Develop strategies that can stop or reduce resistance before it occurs.
- Develop skill in influencing key decision-makers.
- Identify the steps and tools that can take an idea from planning through implementation.
- Begin to apply the tools and assessments provided in our Building Capacity for Change Source Book. This resource guide may become your change bible. It offers steps to follow, what to do when things don't go as planned, and many other resources.
- Build a network of others in your company who can advise you back on the job.

We recommend that the follow-up be scheduled a month to six weeks after the

"Rick's style and teaching techniques are outstanding. His anecdotes and stories add great clarity to the concepts and models."
"Many outstanding tools. . . . . Conference was well-organized. . . Rick did an excellent job facilitating the class."
"Excellent. Very useful, going beyond theory with application distributed throughout."
"I especially have a better understanding of resistance. I can reflect back on previous change efforts that failed because of Level 3 resistance. At the time, I was blind sided, got defensive, and handled it the wrong way. Wish I would have had your course in early '97."
"Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed attending your class this week. The subject matter was useful and the format of the class had a good mix of lecture and exercises that kept the class flowing and interesting. Plus I didn't feel pressured or intimidated by the exercises as can sometimes happen. Add to that the wit and pleasant demeanor of the instructor and it was overall a great class. I'll highly recommend it to any of my co-workers that may have the opportunity to attend."
"You had a nice balance of meeting the group's needs and moving through the course."
